First sale, interview, and invitation to pitch
Hi there!
This week I have been looking at social media and marketing strategies, I finished my application for the Accelerator for Enterprising Women's Kickstarter Challenge (voting now open!), set up cloud hosting so my web development team can do infra (the pretty website is still on track to come out first week of November!), and had an interview come out with the lovely Serina Bird for the Moore Street Journal.
I just put in my application for the Accelerator for Enterprising Women's Kickstarter Challenge on Sunday, and already it's time for voting!
So, when you enter the competition, you have to put in your most appropriate category (mine was STEM and TECHNOLOGY). There are 5 categories, and 5 top spots for the final. BUT, there is a 6th spot, for the "Audience Favourite".
How this works is, anyone can vote once per day until Friday for any of the wonderful contestants. The winner will get a seat at the finals table.
The winner will get $30,000 towards their business, and it would be unbelievably helpful for me over the next 6-9 months.
So, I’m gonna take all the help I can get! If you would like to read my application and vote, here is the link.
I will be sending a little reminder every day until Friday, if you would like to vote again. Every little bit counts, I am sure!
Here’s to the first of many!
Two wins this week?! I have also been invited to pitch at the Innovation Showcase 2023. This is insane! Last year, I was standing in the audience, watching the incredible pitchers thinking, I wonder how long it would take me to work up to being on the stage? Apparently not very long!!!
Free registration is already available for the Showcase on the 6th of December, if you would like to come and support me!
I have had a request to add a new section to the newsletter! The goal is for YOUR SEASON to be able to streamline your online shopping as much as possible, but while we are still in the early development phase, I will add some tips that I have learnt in my colour journey that you can look out for yourself!
BLOCK COLOURS: It's really tempting to buy beautiful patterns when you see them in stores. They look fun, they catch your eye, they say ~something~. But the truth is, patterns are quite hard to style. You are better off buying basics in block colours, and then maybe adding a pop of pattern occasionally. This saves money, reduces waste, and ensures your wardrobe works harder for you - all core values of YOUR SEASON!
Talk soon!
Warm regards,
