Hi there!

This week I have been working on social media strategies, working through Trademark issues, and continuing the algorithm development. It's never boring at YOUR SEASON!

CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK: AEWKC

I am applying for the Accelerator for Enterprising Women’s Kickstarter Challenge, which is due at the end of this week. I spent a lot of time putting my application together, but then was stuck on what to ask for. As a start-up, there are plenty of areas I could use funding (!!), but you only get one shot at an application. I asked everyone I could think of for advice, including mentors from the Griffin Accelerator, my accountability partner, and my actual partner, and the outcome is:

• funding for the next round of algorithm development (PATTERN) - $20k

• funding for two months' professional marketing - $10k

Fingers crossed!

WIN FOR THE WEEK: ALGORITHM UPDATE

Currently, the algorithm is at 97% accuracy for organising block colours into seasonal colour analysis palettes. Before we launch the MVP website in November, the algorithm needed to exclude patterns and palettes because it is a much more complex process. It isn't enough to take an average of the colours. Over the last week, my algorithm developer was able to work on excluding patterns up to >90%. I have never been so excited to see so many negative messages!

NEW SECTION: STYLE TIP

I have had a request to add a new section to the newsletter! The goal is for YOUR SEASON to be able to streamline your online shopping as much as possible, but while we are still in the early development phase, I will add some tips that I have learnt in my colour journey that you can look out for yourself!

CONTRAST: Have a look at your face in the mirror. Taking your eyes, hair and skin into account, how strong is the contrast? Do you have very light eyes and very dark hair (high contrast), or are they relatively similar (low contrast)? You should be wearing clothes that have a similar level of contrast. It will make your overall appearance very harmonious and will not wash you out.

EXTRA TIP: Taking a black and white photo of yourself can make it easier to recognise the contrast levels.

If you can think of anyone who would be interested in joining me on this journey, please invite them to subscribe to the newsletter here, check out the website here, or follow me on social media:
