Post-show (Accelerator) blues and exciting funding news

Hi there!

We are very quickly reaching the end of the year! I hope you have some great plans for the Holiday period ahead, and an opportunity to rest, recharge, and spend time with your special people (and/or pets)!

I'm definitely feeling like I can start slowing down a little bit. This last week has been about celebrating some early funding news, refining the go plan for the start of next year, lots of meetings, and even more emails!

CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK: POST-SHOW BLUES

The Griffin Accelerator has officially ended, the end of the year is coming, but there is still a lot of planning and forward momentum that needs to be generated. I find that I am feeling slower and less productive than over the last few months. It's harder to pick up a job and power through it when there isn't the accountability of weekly check-ins, and new information being learnt that needs to be processed and put into practice.

I am really trying this last week before the Christmas break to have the right conversations with the correct people before everything shuts down, to make sure that everything comes back online smoothly from the 8th of Jan, when everything opens up again.

WIN FOR THE WEEK: OUTCOME FROM THE GRIFFIN ACCELERATOR TRUST

So, it has been quite a few weeks under wraps, but I the Griffin Trust have made me an offer of $45,000!! It will be covering further algorithm development, marketing costs, website development (lots of tweaks and improvements on the way!), and some legal costs. I applied for more funding and am following up with individual mentor investors to see if they are interested in contributing more independently. This will probably be the start of a longer conversation.

In the meantime, I am still planning to work as a private singing teacher to cover the bills - and bootstrap further.

Thank you for sticking with me on this entrepreneurial journey. It's pretty intense and full of lots of stress and pressure but being able to succeed and create a meaningful business will so far outweigh all of that. I'll be taking a few weeks' break, but I will check in again on the week starting 8th Jan 2024.

If you can think of anyone who would be interested in joining me on this journey, please invite them to subscribe to the newsletter here.
